Memorial for Elkhart man murdered in Arkansas

ELKHART A former Elkhart resident is one of two victims who were murdered with a machete in Arkansas last month.

The Elkhart Truth reports that 32-year-old Nathan Young lived in Elkhart until about 10 years ago. He was an Elkhart Central student and was planning to get married in October. He leaves behind his fiancé and a daughter.

20-year-old Gregory Kinsey has been charged with Young's and a neighbor's murders.

A memorial will be held for Young on Tuesday, July 30, at the Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 5p.m. A service will follow at 7.

The family plans to scatter Nathan's ashes in La Crosse, Wis. in October. His wedding was supposed to take place there at that time.
