Man thrown from car now in stable condition

MIDDLEBURY - A man thrown from his car following a crash early Thanksgiving morning remains in the hospital.

This is according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.

Daniel S. Little, 33, is in stable condition at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

The Mishawaka resident wrecked his car around 3 a.m. on Wednesday about 1 1/2 miles east of Middlebury.

Little was driving a 2008 Chevy Aveo west on U.S. 20, east of C.R. 33, when his car left the roadway and slammed into a ditch. Little was then ejected from the car.

He was taken to the hospital and is currently being treated for a broken leg. Tests also found he was intoxicated at the time of the wreck.

No tickets have been issued. The crash still remains under investigation.
