A Winamac man is under arrest for causing a head-on collision and then leaving his injured passenger in the car, and fleeing the scene.

WKVI reports that 28-year-old Joey Frinkel caused the Thursday night crash on County Road 300 W, south of C.R. 250 N, in Pulaski County.

He hit 39-year-old Jennifer Keller and her 16-year-old son. Both were treated for minor injuries.

A passenger in Frinkel's car was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital and is in critical condition.

Frinkel was arrested Friday morning after checking into an emergency room in Plymouth for his injuries.

He's charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, and operating a vehicle while never having a license.
