PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- A man will spend more than a decade behind bars for making meth and stealing wire.
Thomas Howell, 50, was arrested in March at the Red Rock Inn in Plymouth.
Police went looking for Howell after an area business man reported he was stripping wires from buildings.
Howell answered the motel room and told police he had a meth lab in the bathroom.
A judge sentenced Howell this week to 12 years in prison.
While in court, Howell told the judge he was suffering from a terminal illness and wasn't expected to live much longer.
He also added he was eager to go to prison where he would receive free medical services and meals.
