A Cass County man has been found guilty of removing his mother’s oxygen supply and threatening to eat two people.
Shawn Lockmondy, 43, was found guilty of “assault with intent to do great bodily harm”. Prosecutors say Lockmondy kicked over his mother’s oxygen machine in October 2012 and threatened to go to a local bar, bring some people home and eat them.
He also reportedly told his father “this is war” when his father said he would no longer drive him to work.
Lockmondy was found not guilty on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
