Local business ensures seniors aren't alone on Christmas

For 10 years, Home Instead Senior Care has partnered with area senior service agencies to make sure elderly Michiana residents aren't alone or without a gift on Christmas.

This year, you can help. The group is asking for more volunteers to not only donate small gifts but to help wrap and deliver them to area seniors in need.

From December 5-7, you can pick an ornament with the name of a senior and their gift request from a Christmas Tree in one of 19 Walgreens stores throughout St. Joseph, Elkhart, Berrien and Cass Counties. Traditional gifts are things like socks, slippers, lotion and books. Volunteers will have tables set up at Walgreens locations for customers to drop off gifts.

Volunteers are also needed to wrap the items. You can help on December 10th in Elkhart, or on December 11th in St. Joseph County. For a list of locations or more information, click here.
