Mishawaka, Ind. (August 15, 2013) — On Saturday, August 24, Dr. David Taber, medical oncologist at Michiana Hematology Oncology’s Advanced Centers for Cancer Care, will once again lace up his dancing shoes to Dance for the Cure.
For the second year, Dr. Taber will join others at the event to benefit the American Cancer Society of Northern Indiana. As a medical oncologist, Dr. Taber is one of the area’s leading advocates for cancer research.
“Anytime we can get the community involved in an event that focuses on cancer awareness, we’re thrilled to take part. We’re all working to find the best treatment options and, ultimately, a cure for cancer; and these events join us together in this shared goal,” says Dr. Taber. “Dance for the Cure is also just a lot of fun.”
From 7-11 p.m., the community is invited to join Dr. Taber at the Rose Ballroom at the Dan O’Day Dance Club to participate. Dan O’Day Dance Club is sponsoring the event and is located at 107 E. First St. in downtown Mishawaka. Scheduled activities include dancing, entertainment and guest speakers. Refreshments will also be served.
A $25 minimum donation per person is requested, and is 100% tax deductible. All proceeds benefit the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
