The Indiana Civil Rights Commission is taking a close look at a Michiana mental health facility following allegations of abuse.
The Plymouth Pilot reports that tThe commission began looking into operations at Michiana Behavioral Health after picketers protested outside the building on March 14th.
Former workers claim the facility is understaffed, causing an unsafe work environment. One says she witnessed incidents of sexual misconduct and physical abuse while she worked there. Another says she was discriminated against because she had a disability.
Officials at the facility deny all the claims.
The results of the Civil Rights Commission investigation should be available in about two weeks.
