A murder trial that was delayed because of bad weather last month began Monday.

Police say Anthony Jefferson, 43, shot two men last September.

One of those men, Jason Reid, died from his injuries.

Jefferson is accused of forcing a woman to withdraw money from an ATM and then robbed a 7-Eleven in Mishawaka, days before the shooting.

He then fled to his stepmother's house in Rockford, Illinois and had a standoff with police before being arrested.

Jefferson is facing murder, confinement and robbery charges.
