The Indianapolis Star is selling the building it has called home for more than a century.
President and Publisher Karen Crotchfelt announced Friday that The Star will begin looking for a new location that better suits the size and needs of the media company in a digital age.
The newspaper reported (http://indy.st/MbAqod ) the company is committed to remaining in downtown Indianapolis.
The Star has occupied its current headquarters on Pennsylvania Street since 1907. The newspaper has been printed at a separate production facility since 2002.
About 650 employees work at the Pennsylvania Street location.
The Star is owned by Virginia-based Gannett Co.
Crotchfelt says there is no timeline yet for a move.
