PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. Authorities say an Indiana teenager faces multiple charges after his car struck a Bay County Sheriff's deputy and later rammed into two patrol cars.

The News Herald of Panama City reports Deputy Steve O'Brien approached a car in a nightclub parking lot after spotting a suspected drug deal taking place late Wednesday night. The car sped off, striking O'Brien, who rolled up and off of the vehicle's hood.

A spokeswoman says deputies pursued the car until it hit a curb and the driver lost control. Deputies tried to block the car, but the driver accelerated and crashed into two patrol cars, injuring two deputies.

Nineteen-year-old Brashawn Boyd of New Albany, Ind., was arrested on charges including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

The deputies' injuries aren't life threatening.
