LAFAYETTE, Ind.--- The National Weather Service reports storms moving through central and northern Indiana dropped up to penny-size hail in some areas and also caused some flash flooding.

The Tippecanoe Sheriff's Department reported some roads were closed because of flash flooding following the storm Friday afternoon. The weather service said it received reports that three-quarter inch hail fell in West Lafayette.

The weather service says pea-size hail was reported in Lebanon, 25 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and in New Carlisle, about 15 miles west of South Bend.
