America's Health Rankings are out, and the Hoosier State has some work to do.
The report says Indiana has a high immunization rate among adolescents but low among children. It also reports a high prevalence of smoking. It’s one of the highest in the nation with more than 1.1million adults still lighting up. The state is also dealing with high rates of air pollution. More than 1.5 million Hoosier adults are obese, and more than half a million have diabetes.
On a positive note, more people are getting up and moving, but one in four remain physically inactive.
The entire report, including a breakdown for Michigan and the nation overall, is available here.
