Indiana highway pileup injures at least 10

At least 10 people have been injured and one is in critical condition after a pileup involving more than 30 vehicles on a snowy highway west of Indianapolis.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Rich Myers says most of the injuries in Thursday's crash were minor but that one victim's condition was "very critical."

State police say about 20 semitrailers and about 15 passenger vehicles were involved in the crash during a snow squall that reduced visibility and caused slick roads. The crash closed I-70 in both directions for hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and clean up oil spills.

Local firefighters and police took motorists who were stuck in a miles-long backup to area hotels and restaurants.
