The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire that damaged an apartment building in downtown Connersville.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department tells the Richmond Palladium-Item that one person complaining of smoke inhalation was treated at the scene of the blaze Saturday. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Connersville, Richmond and volunteer departments in Everton, Bentonville and Glenwood departments responded to the fire. American Red Cross volunteers also provided support.

WISH-TV reports the 100-year-old building housed a sporting goods store before being converted into apartments.

Connersville is about 50 miles east of Indianapolis.
