The Indiana Board of Pharmacy unanimously suspended the license of the New England compounding center linked to the meningitis outbreak.
Within Indiana there are 51 confirmed cases and four deaths from fungal meningitis caused by tainted steroid injections produced by the company. Nationwide, the death toll has climbed to 29.
The Food and Drug Administration’s Commissioner, Margaret Hamburg, will go before the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee next Wednesday regarding the outbreak.
