WASHINGTON, Ind. (AP) Authorities say the search for an Illinois woman missing since the vehicle she was a passenger in was swept away by floodwaters in southwestern Indiana will resume at daybreak Tuesday.
Indiana conservation officers say 31-year-old Kathryn McGill of Des Plaines, Ill., has been missing since about 7:45 a.m. Sunday when the pickup truck her 35-year-old husband, Adam McGill, was swept off a road near the Pike-Daviess county line. Hunters saw the pickup get swept away and used a boat to rescue the husband, but were not able to find his wife.
Conservation officials say Adam McGill has been treated at a hospital for hypothermia and released. They also say they believe they have found the pickup truck submerged in water.
