Icy roads made for slick and dangerous travel throughout the area Friday morning, and officials are blaming the poor driving conditions for a school bus accident in Knox.
According to WKVI Radio, the Knox Community School Corporation bus was barely clipped by another vehicle on U.S. 35 as it was en route to pick up students.
Officials say another vehicle traveling westbound on 200 North slid across the intersection and lightly hit the bus. Luckily, the bus did not have any students inside at the time, but a rear tire was flattened and the outside was scratched.
Superintendent A.J. Gapp reported that the bus was taken to the garage and replaced by another bus as repairs were made. No injuries were reported in this crash.
