Notre Dame - One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Saturday morning marks the 10th annual "Old 2 Gold" sale at Notre Dame Stadium.
Dozens began lining up overnight in order to make sure they got a bargain and hundreds poured into the stadium once gates opened at 7 a.m.
Items like futons, bikes, and clothing were all up for grabs. Most items also cost under $20.
"It's a prime spot if you're outfitting a new dorm or apartment. You can do it for $50," said Margo Jones, a program manager for Notre Dame's Campus Services Dept.
The proceeds benefit Michiana charities.
"All of the agencies come together to sort the items, to clean the items, and then stage the sale, benefit from 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale," Jones said.
Last year the sale raised $40 thousand for the charities. All the left over goods will also go to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul society.
Saturday's sale ended at 10 a.m.
