Heavy rainfall throughout Michiana is causing problems for those living or traveling in low areas, including closed roadways and flooding for the southern viewing areas, mainly Marshall and Kosciusko Counties.
Newscenter 16 received multiple reports for road closures, including Northside Boulevard between the Sample Street Bridge and Oakland Street.
Friday, in Kosciusko County, folks who live near Sellers Lake were especially prone to problems. Not only were people dealing with closed roadways, but quite a few concerned about evacuation from their homes.
"I just hope and pray the water goes down and we don't get anymore rain," said one Sellers Lake resident, Frances Harris. "[I'm] just waiting for it to go back down, that's all we can do."
