GOSHEN The public can weigh in on a proposal to spend more than $17 million renovating Goshen high and middle schools.
The Elkhart Truth reports that part of the renovations would include expanding the music spaces at both schools. Plus the high school would get a new fitness area.
The project would be paid with bonds issued by Goshen Community Schools and repaid through local property taxes. Some of it may also be financed by the corporation's capital projects fund.
There will be three public input meetings.
Voters will get to decide if plans move forward at a special election on November 5th.
