The 4th Annual Gathering at Five Medals: A living History Festival will take place next weekend, October 20 & 21, at the River Preserve County Park in New Paris, Indiana. The event hosted by the Elkhart County Parks. It portrays life in the Midwest from 1660s to 1815. This year's event commemorates the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. You can see over 150 reenactors from around the Midwest during the festival. Event organizers say its a great way to bring local history to life.
