The father of a South Bend city councilman may have to go to trial if his case is not resolved by the end of next month.
Both Councilman Henry Davis Jr. and his father, Henry Davis Sr., were in court today on charges stemming from a traffic stop that occured last year.
Henry Davis Sr. is charged with misdemeanor reckless driving, and was ticketed for failing to yield to law enforcement officers.
No decision has been made as to whether or not Councilman Henry Davis Jr. is going to be charged, although the prosecutor expects one to be made by his father’s next hearing on Feb. 25.
