A woman was pulled from her burning car Thursday afternoon in Elkhart County after it flipped over and trapped her inside.

Officials say the Lindsey Henderson, 25, was driving east on CR-32, having just passed under old CR-17, at around 1:30 p.m. when her car went off the roadway and into a drainage area. The car struck a driveway and then flipped into its roof, causing a fire to ignite.

A passing driver stopped to help--cutting Henderson’s seat belt and helping her escape as the engine continued to burn.

Henderson was taken to the hospital to be treated for some cuts and scrapes, but witnesses say she was able to move her arms and legs as she was put into the ambulance.
