According to the Elkhart Truth, the county’s health officer said that three people have died after receiving contaminated injections for back pain at the O.S.M.C Outpatient Surgery Center in Elkhart. The O.S.M.C is one of six facilities across the state that received batches of the tainted drugs. Other facilities, like the South Bend Clinic, also received the medicine from the New England compounding center.
One of the three victims from Elkhart has filed suit against the pharmaceutical company. The Massachusetts-based center is now under investigation.
