Elkhart organization aims to lower dropout rates

For 8 years, Five Star Life has been serving Michiana youth. The organization aims to motivate middle-schoolers by pushing 5 core values and keeping kids in school.

Every day, 7,000 kids drop out of high school.

Volunteers motivate and work with kids after school to raise grade point averages and encourage responsibility. The program has a 74% success rate in helping kids maintain a 3.0 GPA or above.
