Three teens are recovering after being involved in a crash early this morning.

ELKHART, Ind.---- Three teens are recovering after being involved in a crash early this morning on CR 6, west of CR 15.

It began as a traffic stop according to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth. When the 16 year old driver tried to flee police he lost control near Reedy and Marina crashing into a fence and nearby pontoon boat.

A 16-year-old Elkhart boy and 14-year-old girl from Jones, Michigan were passengers in the car.

All three teens were taken to Elkhart General Hospital and were treated for minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident.
