Demotion in St. Joseph County is making way for new development on the site of the old Days Inn.
In 2011, J.S.K. Development bought the Days Inn property located on S.R. 933 after the company picked up on the economic growth in the area. In recent years the area around the former hotel saw the introduction of a new student housing complex and a possible senior housing facility.
J.S.K. Development says it is looking to put a new restaurant on the property and plans on breaking ground by the end of 2013.
The land behind the old Days Inn could potentially be developed into a new hotel, but no plans have been finalized.
