SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- People across Michiana are dreaming of warmer days, especially avid cyclists who are ready to hit the trails and roads.
Today the Michiana Bicycle Association and the Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association held their annual swap meet at St. Pat's park.
Dozens of people stopped at the event to snag deals on bikes, parts, and clothing.
The event usually serves as a kick off to the cycling season, but with the unusually cold temperatures you may have to wait a few weeks before pedaling off.
“I think everybody's ready to get out on their bikes,” said John Marquardt, president of the Northern Indiana Mountain Biking Association. “You see snow in the park when you ride in here. Our mountain bike trails are still covered in snow. We can't get out on them and we are just itching to get out.”
This is the first year the event's been held in the big red barn at St. Pat's park.
It's become so popular it outgrew its previous location.
