ELKHART Michiana schools are still finalizing plans to make up snow days, and Concord schools plan to do it a few minutes at a time.

Starting April 14th, students will start each day 20 minutes earlier and leave 40 minutes later. The added time will help them make up five of the eight days they lost due to bad weather.

The school made the decision in response to feedback from parents. In a phone survey, 59 percent said they would prefer to add time each day, rather than extend the school year.

The Elkhart Truth reports that the school hopes to finalize the schedule and send it home with students by the end of the week. The packet will include new bus schedules as well.
