One community is raising money for local organizations by playing mini-golf, at the library.
It's the second year the Middlebury community library is hosting the mini-golf fundraiser, and organizers expect a big turnout.
The event will raise money for the Middlebury Community Enrichment Council, which gives back to the town's parks, museums and of course, the library.
A full 18-hole course will wind through the book shelves, and each hole will have a different theme from a community sponsor.
The President of the MCEC says the golf fundraiser helpst o make Middlebury a better place to live.
"One, we have got great community spirit by the businesses in the town of middlebury. So it's to help the friends of the parks, the friends of the library and the museum. The second is to support individuals and families. And the third is we're very conscious that it takes extra money so these organizations can do the things, extra things that we want to do," says president John Mckee about his community sponsors.
39 community sponsors have stepped forward to make the event happen.
The golf will take place Saturday at the Middlebury Community Library from 10-5. Adult tickets are $5, and kids under 12 are $3.
McKee says on a chilly Saturday afternoon, mini-golf is the perfect activity for family fun to help support the community.
