A northern Indiana prosecutor says criminal charges are expected to be filed against a 20-year-old man accused in the stabbing deaths of his mother and his 6-year-old half-sister in their Monticello home.

White County Prosecutor Bob Guy told the Journal & Courier on Monday that he plans to file criminal charges against David Scott Rodenbarger on Tuesday. Rodenbarger was arrested Saturday on suspicion of murder. He remains in the White County Jail without bond. His initial hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said 41-year-old Michelle Haskins called 911 before dying. Jillian Haskins was taken to Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Authorities have not released a motive for the stabbings.
