It was one week ago that storms rolled through much of our area and left many in central Indiana still cleaning up the pieces.

On Saturday, volunteers came out with rakes and shovels to pick up debris scattered across the landscape.

People of all ages spread out through Kokomo giving neighbors a hand and cleaning up around town.

Many said it's nice to see the community pull together to help each other out.

"It's pretty sweet to see how interconnected people are here in Kokomo, which is really nice,” said volunteer Ricky Aguilar. “People are really warm here."

This weekend the National Weather Service confirmed two more tornadoes that touched down last Sunday.

That boosts the total for that day to at least 28.
