A semitrailer has rear-ended a cargo van carrying human blood, triggering a five-vehicle chain reaction crash in Fort Wayne.
Police Sgt. Mark Brooks tells The Journal Gaze (http://bit.ly/Og6FOL ) one person was hospitalized in fair condition and another person also was hurt in the crash Monday.
Police say none of the human blood inside the boxes is believed to be damaged. American Red Cross officials have been notified and alternate transportation has been brought in.
Police say the crash tied up traffic on Coliseum for more than an hour. The semitrailer driver has been cited for a traffic infraction.
