ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County got a big gift from a Notre Dame alum.

Children from the Boys and Girls Club were on hand as a presentation from Notre Dame alumni and Sprint CEO Diane and Daniel Hesse.

They will be making a $3 million transformational endowed gift to further the partnership between Notre Dame and the Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County.

The partnership will significantly increase the number of volunteers, internships and community based learning chances for ND students and staff.

Organizers are excited about the opportunities to help more children.
With the money, they will be able to go from handling 140 children a day to near 200 by doubling their volunteers.
