Biomet reaches settlement over faulty hip replacements

WARSAW A Warsaw-based company is paying big money in a settlement over faulty artificial hips.

Biomet has agreed to pay $200,000 each to hundreds of people who had to have their implants replaced. 95.3 Michiana’s News Channel reports that the settlement will cost the company more than 50 million dollars.

People who had the metal hip implants must sue Biomet in federal court by April 15th to participate in the settlement.

The hip implants in question have never been recalled.
