Mishawaka, Indiana, August 16, 2013- Quality Dining, Inc.®, operator of 30 South Bend/Southwest Michigan area BURGER KING restaurants, announces the re-opening of their restaurant located at 1113 E. Ireland Road, South Bend. The Erskine Village project is one of many BURGER KING restaurants in the Quality Dining portfolio that will be rebuilt or remodeled in the coming months.
The remodeled restaurant features the latest in BURGER KING design and innovation including café-style seating and a lounge area with a flat screen HDTV, free Wi-Fi and an “Internet Zone” which allows free use of BK computers. Diners can check their email, browse the internet and enjoy great food all in one place.
The restaurant also features a Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain drink station, allowing guests to choose from more than 100 regular and low-calorie choices – including many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that were not previously available in the U.S. Guests can select brands such as Caffeine-Free Diet Coke® with Lime, Fanta® Peach, Minute Maid® Light Orange Lemonade and more via an interactive touch-screen on the front of the fountain.

The management team includes Joe Ortiz, Restaurant Manager, John Feil, District Manager, Ryan Pullen, Regional Manager and Gerald Fitzpatrick, Senior Vice President. Thirty-five full-time and part-time Ireland employees join over 8,000 current Quality Dining, Inc. corporate, quick-service and casual dining employees.
The restaurant will offer innovative Salads, Wraps, Smoothies, Soft Serve Cones and Sundaes along with BK‘s famous WHOPPER® Sandwich, Chicken Sandwiches and French Fries. In addition, specialty coffees including Ice Coffee, Lattes and Frappes are featured at the newly remodeled restaurant.
The Ireland BURGER KING team will continue to be involved in the community through the BK Scholars and VFW UNMET NEEDS Programs. A BK Benefit Night will be held on Tuesday, August 20, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. to benefit the Pet Refuge. The new Erskine Village BURGER KING restaurant will donate 20% of the dining checks generated during the event.
