South Bend, Ind. A man accused of murder in South Bend, and arrested in Illinois after a standoff with police, was in court Thursday morning.
A trial date was set for Anthony Jefferson, 43.
He is accused of shooting Jason Reid and Tyreece Walker back in September.
Reid died from the shooting.
Jefferson faces robbery and confinement charges as well, after forcing a woman to withdraw money from an ATM in Mishawaka while she was checking her balance.
He then forced her to drive to another location, with her 11-month-old son in the car.
Jefferson is also being accused of throwing coffee in a cashier's face, and robbing a convenience store in South Bend.
Police learned he then went to Rockford, Illinois.
After a standoff with police there, he was arrested and brought back to St. Joseph County.
He'll go to trial in January.
