Alleged abductor of LaGrange Co. woman found

Noble Co., Ind. The search is over for the alleged abductor of a LaGrange County woman, who went missing for more than 24 hours last week.

Steven Gose, 43, was taken into custody in Noble County on Monday.

Police had been trying to track him down since last Wednesday, saying he brutally attacked Jennifer Bitzel, 28, in a home in the 3000 block of C.R. 600 East.

Investigators say she was severely beaten by Gose, who then drove her away and threatened to kill her.

Bitzel was found safe Friday morning in Rome City.

Gose was wanted on three warrants in connection with this case, for criminal confinement, domestic battery and strangulation.

On top of that, he was wanted for several parole violations.

He's now being held in the LaGrange County Jail.
