A frozen pizza and a $150,000 scratch-off win

Thanks to a love of pizza, one South Bend man is $150,000 richer.

Tuesday night, April 30, Mark Howie stopped by CVS pharmacy in the 51,000 block of US-31 to grab a frozen pizza for dinner. While he was inside, Howie decided to buy a scratch-off lotto ticket, a decision which proved to be a very rich dessert to cap off his mean.

Howie’s “Winner Take All” ticket was worth a $150,000 prize.

He and his wife Molly decided to use the money to pay down their mortgage, max out their IRA contributions for the year and then do something fun with the remaining dough.

The lucky couple claimed their winnings at the Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis on Friday.
