Local McDonald's franchises host child fingerprinting

Local franchises of the McDonald's chain have been hosting child safe programs, including one restaurant in Elkhart.

Children were photographed, fingerprinted and given a booklet of all their vital information for parents to take home for free.

Organizers said it is an important tool to have just in case a child goes missing.

“If anything were to ever happen to the child all of the information that they would need to hopefully locate the child would be right here in one place,” said Abby Harris of McDonald’s Public Relations.

Next Saturday, September 22, 2007 the child fingerprinting operation heads to the McDonalds on Elkhart Road in Goshen.
