According to the South Bend City Clerk, The South Bend Common Council has taken the public hearing for the 'party permit' and the lawn parking ordinance off the table for tonight's meeting.
The ordinance was supposed to be presented to the Common Council Monday at 7pm in the County City Building.
The City Clerk's office told NewsCenter16 the bill would be taken up in committee this evening.
The bill would require people in certain neighborhoods to get a permit 10 days before a party with more than 25 guests and where alcohol is served.
Moreover, the party permit ordinance would also require people to get hang tags and give the city $.50 per car if they want to allow lawn parking.
