911 call tape released in South Bend plane crash

More Video...

About one month ago, a plane crashed into three South Bend homes on North Iowa Street.

Wednesday, we aired the audio recordings of conversations between the airport tower and the plane’s crew, just moments before the fatal crash.

Thursday, we get our first listen to the audio of the 911 calls from witnesses to the horrific event.
To listen to the complete tape click on the link that says “complete audio of 911 calls during SB plane crash”.
There were only four calls on the tape. We did contact the St. Joseph County Dispatch Center to see if we could get 911 call tapes from them. Their legal counsel told us that they contacted 911 operators and they said no calls specifically regarding the plane crash came in.

WNDU is still waiting to hear if the recordings from the police and fire dispatch can be released.
