A property manager who got a deal on pink paint has left some neighbors of a West Lafayette rental home seeing red.
BK Management repainted a house in the city's New Chauncey neighborhood district after city inspectors said the dwelling needed aesthetic improvements.
Chad Budreau of BK Management said the owners originally wanted to install neutral siding but chose paint instead because of the cost. But nearby residents say the pink paint job devalues the neighborhood.
They may be out of luck. The city doesn't have codes governing paint shades for houses.
Students who live in the house say the color doesn't bother them and makes it easy to give directions.
