Many northern Indiana roads are ice and snow covered as a winter storm makes travel hazardous.

Indiana State Police say an accident involving a semi forced the closure of the ramp from eastbound Interstate 80-94 to southbound I-65 Monday night. The crash occurred about 11:15 p.m. Central time and the ramp remained closed as of 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Indiana State Police Cpl. Dwayne Dillahunty says the truck swerved into the exit lane, struck the wall and rolled over, spilling its load of cheese.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Eastern time for northern Indiana. Wind gusts up to 40 mph could cause blowing and drifting snow.
