Michiana braces for yet another blast of snow, extreme cold.

Authorties are urging people to be prepared for Mother Nature's next round of snow and below zero temps.

LaPorte County and near Michigan City reported white-out conditions on the Toll Road Tuesday morning while other counties saying the roads are "a mess" in some less traveled areas.

A small system of snow is moving through the area to be followed by more snow and extreme cold. Areas along the lake are experiencing higher wind gusts and snow fall early Tuesday morning.

Freezing drizzle may have helped in the over all blowing snow expected for later on Tuesday and Wednesday as it packed it down - less likely to blow around.

Police are urging motorists to take it slowly - especially on the side roads. Stay with NewsCenter 16 for the very latest on this new winter blast.
