Three Evansville police officers are out of the hospital after being injured when two squad cars collided while on an emergency run.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports 35-year-old Mark DeCamps, 24-year-old Cameron Werne, and 28-year-old Adam Will were released from Deaconess Hospital on Tuesday.
City police Sgt. Jason Cullum says both cars had their lights and sirens operating when the crash occurred at a downtown intersection Monday night.
The crash caused heavy front-end damage to one squad car, which was spun around facing the wrong way in traffic. The other car was knocked into grass with its passenger-side door caved in.
WFIE-TV reports witnesses say a stop sign for one of the streets was damaged and was lying on the ground before the crash.
