WESTFIELD, Ind. Police are investigating the deaths of a woman and her adult daughter who died shortly after police found them unresponsive in their suburban Indianapolis home.

Westfield police identified the pair Saturday as 52-year-old Marylyn Erb and her 23-year-old daughter Kelley Erb.

Police were called Friday afternoon to their Westfield home north of Indianapolis and found both women unresponsive with visible injuries to their bodies. They were soon pronounced dead.

Capt. Charles E. Hollowell of Westfield police tells The Indianapolis Star the case is being treated as a homicide based on evidence found at the scene.

Police are trying to find out who took a 2011 Maroon Buick Enclave from the women's home and drove it a short distance to the area where it was found Friday.
