Kokomo, Ind. Two central Indiana teenagers who stabbed two officers with a pencil before escaping from custody as they were being moved to a juvenile detention center have been captured in Kokomo.

Police say the 15- and 16-year-old youths were captured Thursday morning after officers received a tip that they were hiding out in a house on Kokomo's north side.

The Kokomo Tribune reports the teens spent Wednesday night on the run after they stabbed two transportation officers with a pencil as they were being moved from a Warren County foster care facility to the Robert J. Kinsey Youth Center in Kokomo.

After a brief struggle, the van crashed into a tree and the teens fled.

Both of the transport officers were treated and released with minor injuries.
