Marion County emergency officials estimate $29 million in damage from severe storms that hit Indianapolis late Friday.

The storms included a tornado that struck on the city's east side, tearing roofs off apartments.

The Marion County Emergency Management Agency reported that more than 500 buildings were damaged.

Eighteen people were treated for minor injuries after the storm blew through.
